THE PERFECT FAMILY DAY
What all belongs to the perfect family day on Mount Stoos? Here you will find tips!
The perfect day starts with a really steep mountain ride - the world's steepest funicular takes you to the summer paradise of Stoos. Not to be missed! Arrived on the mountain, a family photo may not be missing! Fröneli's Photopoint is particularly suitable for this. It is located directly on the forecourt of the Schwyz-Stoos funicular railroad.
If you still need provisions for the hike or treats for lunch, you can get them at the Stoos Shop & Rental. And off goes the Stöösler family adventure!
Have you ever been to a moor area? At Stoos-Seeli, in the middle of the mountain village, you will find one: the Moor Trail. Embark on the tour and playfully get to know the moor with the children - for those who have rubbed all the moor signs, a little surprise awaits 😉 .
At the end of the moor trail, a cool down awaits the whole family! «Suddle» at the children's water game or bathe your feet in the Stoos-Seeli.
Meanwhile, mummy and daddy make the fire or prepare the picnic directly at the Seeli. Barbecue sites with enough wood and picnic areas are available.
You can never get enough views! On the Fronalpstock summit, 10 lakes and a wonderful view of the valley basin and over Lake Lucerne await. And the best thing: In summer, children with a Junior Card ride for free on all Stoos mountain railroads - thus free travel to the summit! On the Geissli playground at 1,922 m above sea level, other children also let off steam, while mummy and daddy sip a fine coffee right next door on the sun terrace and enjoy the view. The grumbling of the Geissli on the Fronalpstock cannot be overheard. They want to be petted! The tame Geissli romp around on the summit every day during the summer and look forward to being stroked by young and old!
Before we go back home, we have to take another photo with this beautiful view. For this purpose, a photo platform is available between the petting zoo and the playground. Please smile!
Saturdays are even more special on the summit! Then the chairlifts run until 10pm (17th September - 29th October until 8pm). Enjoy a fine dinner, listen to rustic music in nice weather, watch the sunset and ride the chairlifts back down almost in the dark - a real experience!
