Place from Stoos Hüttä
You can reach the Stoos Hüttä in a few minutes easy steps.
Arrival by public transport via the steepest funicular in the world.
Take the train to Schwyz, train station. From there, take bus no. 501 in the direction of Muotathal and get off at the stop Schwyz, Stoosbahn. From there, take the world's steepest funicular right into the village of Stoos. On the forecourt of the funicular take the way up on the left side. From there the way to Stoos Hüttä is signposted.
Arrival by public transport via the small cable car Morschach-Stoos
Take the train to Brunnen, train station. From there, take bus No. 504 in the direction of Morschach and get off at the Morschach, aerial cableway stop. From there, take the small cable car up to Stoos (on weekends & holidays, we recommend arriving via the funicular). Once on Stoos, take the path towards the funicular. On the forecourt of the funicular, a path leads up towards Klingenstock. From there, the path is signposted to the Stoos Hüttä.
Arrival by car via the steepest funicular in the world
Take the A4 in the direction of Schwyz and take exit 39 to Schwyz. From there follow the signs to Muotathal / Stoos. Between Schwyz and Muotathal you will find the valley station of the funicular on the right hand side. Parking spaces are available directly at the valley station. After the ascent with the steepest funicular in the world, take the way up on the left side at the forecourt of the funicular. From there the way to the Stoos Hüttä is signposted.
Arrival by car via the small cable car Morschach-Stoos
Take the A4 towards Brunnen, drive through the Mositunnel and then follow the signs towards Morschach. Drive through the village of Morschach and continue to the end of the road (signposted Luftseilbahn Morschach). At the end of the road is the valley station of the cable car. Parking spaces are available directly at the valley station. After the ascent with the cable car, take the path in the direction of the funicular. On the forecourt of the funicular, a path leads up towards Klingenstock. From there the path is signposted to Stoos Hüttä.
Activities in winter
In winter almost everything is possible on the Stoos; from skiing to cross-country skiing to sledding, snowshoeing and relaxing. Enjoy the beautiful area in a manageable ambience. Also, for après-ski, visit the Häxebar, right next to the hotel. When the weather is nice, the bar is open every day.
Summer activities
Hike in the mountains and afterwards enjoy a fine meal or coffee with dessert on the quiet and sunny terrace. The children linger on the small but nice playground right next to the restaurant. Or after biking, fishing in the Stoos-Seeli have a well-deserved lunch or dinner with us.
